Well, it could have been a DCB but so far I'm not seeing a drop-off in shorts. I think Fridays figures (due to the 4 day lag in basic short sales data) might tell us if this was the case. Obviously there will be conditions around this.
In the same scenario, the recent drop could have been triggered by stop hunting. The market then followed. Just putting it out there. I'm not aware of any new news items (that the market wasn't aware of) that triggered the recent dive.
