Um.... no. You are marketing copper concentrate to the smelter. Smelters view gold as a by-product.
Just because gold goes to tailings does not mean it is lost forever. Again, it is a trade off btwn paying CapEx up front and later in mine life. WACC is higher for a developer vs a producer so my preference is that they start lean and re-process tailings for gold later in mine life.
