Very much so talking years - and so am I. Not planning on going anywhere with my stake in AVL. (4 years and counting).

I remember reading some of Warren's content (can't find the actual text unfortunately) - he talked about "value investing" and the aim to make an investment decision that could last 10 years, then if that decision or goal remains the same, the goals is to continually grow that position. For example Warren DOUBLED his position on Apple last year....which was pretty crazy. (I now note they are the first US company to pass a trillion $).

Seems the stock market is angled toward the trader (i'm a rookie so maybe I'm wrong)....taking profit and doing the next thing. I wonder what the average hold time is for ASX stocks? Jumping in and out on good and bad news.

Sure that's their plan.
