Chemicals and growing methods wont increase the % of thc.. that is determined by the strain. Also There is nothing wrong with using "chemicals", your just feeding it what it needs to thrive much like how the old nan down the road that gives her roses or tomatoes fertiliser etc... aslong as you flush it properly then its not a problem like many claim.
