    Alanhawke, please re read my and Alpha's last posts again. There is nothing illegal about borrowing someone's stock (if they allow you) and selling on the market. The deal will be, however, that you have to return it to the lender if he wants it back, which means that he has to buy it back OR more probably be placed it in a new share placement at a lower price, and then returned to the lender.

    There is nothing illegal, but what we are saying is that it stinks, disfavours the holders of stock and should be outlawed, but the ASX wont do anything about it because they are spineless and greedy.
