IMO, no way do Ohm sensors have to be calibrated on site.
To calibrate a temperature sensor, it must be inserted into a heat sink with a known temp, eg boiling water or ice bath. This might be needed in CONTROL systems where accuracy is critical.
IMO Buddy Ohm needs only to be accurate to let's say +/- 1'C at the most.
