Dr Wills mentioned this in the recent Boardroom Radio ann.
Food for thought.....................................
CID deposits were largely ignored by bhp rio in the 60s. quality of 60%+ was their targets........so they blew up mountain tops to get that quality. MT tom Price, Mt Whaleback etc
FDL have the highest point of the Hamersleys in E47/882 tenment. The weathering effect over Eons of time has deposited the CID in the valleys, eroded from the peaks.
Why did FDL save this tenmnet from FMG?.... They are focussed on Diamonds, for sure, and stated that there is a very strong Kimberlite presence in this Tenement. The Kimberlites are buried by CID deposits 57%+ (company drilling report from 2003)
So FDL did a swap ....sold E47/1306....for all of FMG land diamond rights..(and admitted that selling 1306 may have been a mistake)........But.... when FMG finish stripping their Ore, they may expose some Kimberlites for FDL to explore.....That is the expensive part of getting to the Kimberlites, getting rid of all that nasty brown iron dirt!! : )
E47/882 100 sq km...highest point....IMO expect good grades,a larger inferred resource, and Rio / BHP style (blow it up) mining of some of those peaks , combined with CID stripping of the valleys.
Dr Wills, having found the Argyll deposit for another co., is firmly fixed on being the next De Beers. I believe he will achieve this in time. This is why they saved the highest point......quality.....
Sentiment.....accumulate..........DYO research
