Stock is thinly traded (sometimes) - meaning not a lot of buyers or not a lot of sellers .
At those times, anyone wanting to buy a chunk of stock or sell a chunk of stock in a hurry can move the price quite easily.
This is not overly unusual but can catch out the unwary buyer or seller.
