    It would seem the Volition test may have a higher sensitivity detecting stage 1 cancer (80% vs 58% for ColoStat) but, with a lower specificity (78% vs 95% for ColoStat). My basic understanding is that this means Volition can identify cancer more accurately than Colostat (80% vs 58%), however, ColoStat is better at correctly identifying patients who DON'T have the cancer 95% of the time vs 78%).

    The interim results demonstrated that a small panel of three ELISA assays, when considered with the subjects' ages and smoking histories, produced an area under the curve (AUC) of 83% and was able to detect 80% of Stage I CRC cases and 66% of High-Risk Adenomas (HRA) at 78% specificity, respectively.
