Gansu Rare Earth: Investing more than 400 million yuan to carry out environmental protection

The company has invested more than 400 million yuan, implemented the environmental protection treatment project of rare earth roasting tail gas, advanced treatment of oily acid wastewater, advanced treatment and resource utilization of rare earth soap wastewater, comprehensive utilization of ammonia nitrogen wastewater resources, general industrial solid waste storage site, etc. The environmental protection project has been comprehensively rectified for waste gas, waste water and waste residue. The operating costs of these environmental protection projects are about 50 million yuan per year.

Gansu is an SOE now amalgamated into Nth RE group who hold 49% equity. Q1 2017 it had operating income RMB262M & net profit RMB10M.
