Hey all, stumbled upon bau prior listing and have since watched from sidelines. Have to say bau is making me itch same as MAk a few months ago. Interesting reading. Few points in my opinion which are promising reasons to cosider this spec are..
    - Must have substantial resource to be contemplating scope study and feasability study ( especially for alumina processing facility) this early on. Knowing that processing facility cost around $2billion mark.
-Csr pacminex study back in 70's were set to establish processing plant which again leads to the obvious conclusion that there must be a substantially viable resource at base. Why go to such extensive drilling if nothing there.Plus the dollars spent on the study back then.
    - Resource fairly easy to mine. Shallow depth.
-Price of bauxite rising. Gone from $45/tonne to $75/tonne.
price has risen over 30% in last 6 weeks, and set to continue to rise
-price of alumina risen $800/tonne in last two weeks, set to continue
    - According to management , environmental issues should be ok. Muchea in former agricultural lands where land clearance has already occurred.

    - substantial land holdings over 6000sq km in bauxite rich areas, close to existing bauxite plays
-china's thirst for commodities to continue. bau will be targeting chinese market . apparently over 100 aluminium processing plants in china all thirsty for bauxite and alumina. offtake agreemnt or the like to enable sharing of capital expenditure for project lessening burden to aust market for capital raising.(option)

    - high demand should see prices continue to rise
    - bhp and rio both making plays for expanding exposure to bauxite and alumina commodity . Why?

Anyway just my opinion and thoughts on matter.
Please do own research and make own decisions.

But I believe bau is one to buy and pop in the bottom of the draw and wait.Should come up pretty good.

Also been searching for any info on previous study done by csr and pacminex regarding what sort of figures we could be looking at for munchea project. Apparently if one was to go to the dept of industry and resource in perth one could request file on tenement and be able to copy all documentation done by csr and pacminex for munchea as it is available to public . Also documentation by VAM ltd for south darling range project should be available as well.
Both had resource estimations and it would be interesting to ascertain initial rough figures for both projects. Apparently vam had figures recording an estimation at 34% alumina for south darling. Anyone in perth with a bit of spare time? I will try to contact dept to see if I could receive some info over phone but seriously doubt it.
    Any way cheers for now.
