OK now I am going to be serious.

The whining kid (AllFuelledUp) has sparked a lot of posts but I want to discuss the fantastic opportunities ahead of us in the next 20 years.

As the boomers have moved through the various phases of life they have sparked economic opportunities for those who were aware of them.

When they were born they sparked a maternity wing boom for hospitals, then as they grew companies like Mattel grew enormously as demand for toys went through the roof.

You can go on to the boom in education which led to publishing booms, companies like Malvern Star produced millions of bikes, later the skate board craze made millions.

As the boomers grew up the nightclub and restaurant business expanded, travel services made fortunes (who remembers Kontiki?) as the boomers made their pligrimages to London and Bali.

When they started moving out of home we had real estate booms, we had vehicle booms and so it goes.

    You get my drift.

Now the question is what are the future booms which will be driven by the boomers? OK, medicine, pharmaceuticals, pretty obvious but what other social changes will be wrought?

If you can be a visionary there are great sums of money to be made. The timeframe is the next 20 years but the bell curve will be the next 10 years.

You should have been able to make a fortune by 2018 if you get this right.
