I still expect a leased FPSO, and absolutely minimal platform facilities if any, with liquids only production initially. Can reinject any gas not needed for fuel. If they process gas for sale it will add years to first oil, and add multiples to the capex. The delay would be very detrimental to the NPV of the oil.
I am betting the Q team will be able to get us into production within three or four years, but without gas.
It will be time to look at the gas when we’ve found a lot more, which I am pretty sure we will find in our search for more oil.
As for curved balls, absolutely, almost every well in these permits has produced one.
