FAR warned at the AGM that the debate was about to get very willing and that shareholders needed to be aware that the dialogue was about to get to a level which would be unpleasant and disturbing for some shareholders.
Management advised shareholders to be aware that this attack was coming but it did not deminish the claim nor FAR's legal rights.
Whether they were aware that this was going to be the manner that WPL would take was not discussed at the AGM but management did say that they were persueing their avenues to finance with the clear intention of being able to fund their commitments as they fell due.
WPL are firing a warning shot accross the bow of the FAR ship to signal their intentions to fight to retain their share of this discovery.
Clearly the more that they are working on the engineering and developing the economic pathway to production the more value they see in the project and its importance to WPL into the future.
If they are prepared to get down and fight dirty why wouldn't they attempt to buy control of FAR in the marketplace through purchase of FAR's shares ..... maybe that is to come if FAR can arrange their share of the funding on an independant basis.
Or if they are feeling vulnerable about the outcome of the PE and their position why wouldn't they negotiate a settlement with FAR maybe lifting FAR's share to 20% and free carried to production to withdraw from PE.
This could get interesting.
I for one would love to be a fly on the wall in the respective board rooms as this heats up.
