Is a good idea...however there are pitfalls....I did this with pnn....brought and sold....sold one time too many and it went from 60 cents to 3 bucks...also did the same with mtn....sold at 90 and it went up to 6 bucks...Can be left behind and miss the big payday...You really have to decide what trader type you are...daytrader..medium trader or long term....or incorporate a mix of all 3...keep a core holding and short trade with other. With umc...i have brought and held....With hindsight i couldve had 2 to 3 million shares instead of what i have by selling and buying back in at a lower level. You just dont know when that big bit of news is coming...umc has always had that feeling that it could jump huge amounts at any time.
The thing that really sits in the back of my mind....is when they were around 7 cents....i wanted to buy a million..however logic prevailed and i considered that i wasnt willing to lose 70 grand on a small exploration company...how times have changed
