my numbers are based on 3MT tonnes of iron ore (60% grade) per 1 sq kilometre of 1 metre thickness...(as advised to me by UMC regarding how to calculate tonnnage)...
therefore 300 metres x 1 km x 10 metres thick x 3 = 9MT tonnes
