H/Sent. Yes, I have heard that comment made of no great interest in selling power to BHP's Olympic dam just because it is nearby. The reason being it would be on some competitive bid basis which would result in a price at a good discount to what can be obtained supplyng into the Nat. Grid. A gauranteed , market based price, might be another thing. The extra cost of transmission lines to reach the grid is not the great hurdle it is sometimes put up to be and with the amount of power GDY anticipate having to sell, the cost is well worth it. Also it does not mean for one minute that GDY would have to meet all or any of that (trasmisssion lines) cost.
