The thing about the Hismelt deal is that Rio would have to deal with the Chinese Government and foreign companies to get this off the ground, yet the Punters of Punt Road say their own deal is a "First-of-Kind-Deal". Of course that's true if you define the deal in extremely specific terms, many deals are first of a kind because many are different. So while they think they're these intrepid pioneers they're just some chaps that have sold 51% of their global rights for 0 (excluding Australia) and have been left in the dust by other advancing technologies.
