Security on SSM was always an issue. I heard many such stories. Of voting papers found in the streets, for example. Many others.
Why do we have compulsory voting under secure conditions when we go to the polls, do you reckon. Because of the accuracy which the additional security provides. However, it is also very expensive. The SSM survey was just that. A survey of just over half the population, and one prone to provide inaccuracies due to using the letterbox. With all those papers just hanging from letterboxes, particularly of multi-unit buildings, what do you reckon about that security? lol
No "far-fetched conspiracy" but commonsense. The use of the term "conspiracy" is inappropriate in the context you have used that term because I have not said that the results would skewed. No, simply they cannot be verified. And sentences, like yours, pretending knowledge about how the majority of Australians feel about SSM is not accurate.
I have nowhere said I personally know the outcome. Why would I? I am logical. It is not known. As it was the result was very close indeed, even of the 60%, but there is no reaon to believe that this is accurate due to lack of SECURITY of the papers.

The result was 62% to 38% that is not close in anyone's language people were given a vote and yes there were reports of papers in the streets but you get another if you wanted to vote ,I have never heard of the bizarre claim of your of landlords taking papers from post boxes.
I would have preferred a plebiscite but they could not get it through the senate.
