I agree Acorn. What a weak performance by those Ministers! I thought Cormann was smart enough to realise the folly of aligning with imo Abbotts puppet Dutton. However, it does not appear to be the case.

His explanation seemed to profess loyalty to Turnbull and yet even while Turnbull was still PM albeit wounded he chose to resign from the Ministry and seemingly abandon Turnbull. ScoMo has not done that and neither has Julie Bishop who if Turnbull does not re-nominate in a spill will put their hands up to fight Dutton. They have remained loyal because they will not oppose Turnbull unless he decides himself to stand down. Cormann has instead seemingly delivered what could be the fatal blow to Turnbull’s chances.

Dutton claimed he had a majority from the beginning yet they are struggling to come up with the 43 names needed to convince the PM to hold a spill. There are claims that the Dutton camp are applying pressure on individual members and one female backbencher has said that she was offered a ministerial post if she went their way. She declined. If accurate then they are using lies, pressure and bribes to try and reach the required votes.

For the good of Australia here’s hoping that by tomorrow the lib MPs will be better informed and opt for someone other than Dutton. Julie Bishop might make it if the MPs listen to the voters based on the polls. ScoMo the only other option.

Labor will naturally express outrage against Dutton but they are just hoping he gets up. They know as per todays Morgan Poll that Bill Shorten rockets to preferred PM over Peter Dutton by a huge margin reversing the deficit Shorten had against Turnbull!
