This news has been posted before but I feel it's quite significant for Auz.
The bits I like are - "partnering with BAIC Motor Corp" which is a Chinese state owned car manufacturer. The article suggests subsidies will conclude in 2020 but the deal with BAIC will provide surety in the event that they don't. One of its subsidiaries, Beijing Benz, is a joint venture between BAIC Motor Corp and Daimler AG.
Plot thickening no?
SKI are upping capacity at Seosan its South Korean plant to 4.7 gigawatt hours, the Hungary plant will be 7.5, this latest Chinese plant 7.5 That's a hell of a lot of raw materials required to match the output of those factories. Gee I wonder where they are going to source those. I am thinking there is no way they'll want to repeat the procurement process of these raw materials after such massive investment and the whole shebang has just de-risked further imo.
