After 10 years of research and development, Australian company Soil Sub
Technologies Limited listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) – March 27th,
2008. Their product, NutriMix®, is an internationally patented 100% organic growing
medium with superior nutrient profile and outstanding and proven water
management capabilities. “We are set to change the practices of international agriculture and horticulture to meet the needs of climate change”, Soil Sub Technologies Limited CEO James
Callianiotis stated. “In view of the global warming phenomenon and water shortages being suffered in various regions of the world, we have already secured a major contact in China and anticipate that NutriMix® products will be in significant demand in numerous
international markets.”
Hot on the heels of signing a US$30m exclusive licensing agreement with The Timms
Cho Group for the whole of China market (December 2007) , Soil Sub Technologies
Chairman, Graeme Scott, is currently in China, finalising the second phase of the
existing NutriMix® contract. “A major factor is that NutriMix® can be manufactured from renewable waste resources produced by the processing of other agricultural products, which are available in abundance in many parts of the world,” Mr. Callianiotis commented.
“We’ve tapped in a previously un-serviced global market with an environmentally
sustainable Australian innovation with known global opportunities which we are
already servicing.
“The organic profile of NutriMix® makes it a medium for complete plant available
nutrient uptake, and the products’ structure substantially reduces evaporation
effects.”
Tests conducted by the Department of Primary Industries (QLD), Department of Arid
Land Agriculture, College of Food and Agriculture, UAE University and Sydney
Environmental and Soil Laboratory have independently demonstrated NutriMix’s
water content at saturation point is up to 149% higher than traditional sands, soils, or
general mediums.
