Hi robbj5, I give credit to some very informative posts on many occasions, recently Dargies' on tax issues which I certainly am not versed in.
But HC posts do include some chaff along with the wheat and perhaps like you I feel there's been too much self-opinionated chaff in some recent posts by some HC members. If posters have difficulty reconciling personal opinion from fact - fine - but to then make what are effectively snide, disparaging remarks on other posters because they hold a different view is in my view immature and not really acceptable. These posts contrast with the 'wheat' of well argued, tolerant and politely expressed opinion, which is high value. It would be nice if in future all of us gave appropriate consideration to what we intend to post before finally hitting the 'post message' button. Posts are not always contributions, I'd prefer a higher proportion more of the latter. regards, cugel
