Peacock knows little - nor does White tied up with his own margin loan crisis - residual staff are inexperienced - Challenger, Qld Trustees, NZ, HBOS - none wants to be last - the place is being run by Mark Korda now with help from Hutson & Scott - with MFS' complex structure the public vehicle is not trading - coffee and biscuits are being purchased via a temporarily solvent subsidiary or two. Korda will be busy advising the board how to stay out of Corporations Act transgressions while assets are sold and accounts, loans, subsidiaries are sanitised as much as possible. Meanwhile draw salaries, charge fees, maybe send out some resumes, rebury the bodies, avoid all manner of disclosure (even at an EGM).
How long to prepare for the EGM BB and none of this is penetrated. Ask the hard questions and get real answers so the dreamers can move on.
Fiscal reality is all that everyone needs.
