I dunno how people can be so "stooopid": "I took out more and more loans because they were offered to me". Like the kid who just ate candy until he was sick. The difference is these borrowers are adults - 'stooopid' ones. To blame the lenders for their troubles is avoiding personal responsibility. To want the big house ... fully furnished .. plus latest 4WD ... plus latest LCD TV; X-BOX etc.etc. is almost obscene. Who to blame? The advertisers who offer interest free terms for 4 years (then 28% interest!!) ... Nope ... part of the blame must rest with the individual ... we all have free will don't we? It's just that some are chronically stupid ... why is it so?
Avaricious lenders can't be exhonerated ... nor can those who 'want it all ...NOW' and to hell with the cost!
