"Australian telcos Vodafone Hutchison Australia and TPG Telecom are set to announce a merger of equals on Thursday, with the scrip deal creating a company that would be worth in the region of $10 billion, about the same size as Singtel Optus in terms of market share.
The Australian reported that a detailed market announcement would be made this morning and 50.1% of the merged entity would be owned by Vodafone with the remainder to be owned by TPG."
