Ah ...yes well what you say is true to a certain extent , nut it just that the values that Big Pharma have little to do with actual historic or current net profits etc , but more to do with "can they capitalise on the IP and can the IP accelerate a product or product line to market .
In the case of IMC its starting to look like their years of work ( and losses) are producing some very interesting & potentially attractive IP
Thus speculation of a 2-10 times share price is not fantasy , but a distinct possibility ....providing the goods are there !!!
Suggest you google takeouts/ deals done in the big Pharma arena - some of the valuations put on products ...or intellectual property are incredible .
