If SDL is the target company, the possibility is that the board of SDL may not be aware of this take over attempt. SDL is not in trading halt because the board has not officially received any take over bid so there is no reason for any TH. OR ANS may acquire other target company.
You are right that it is strange. Why ANS put $750 K to buy shares of SDL few weeks ago.
Something may be happening.
