Interim infill drilling results confirm near
surface copper oxides at Azurite
As part of the Redbank Oxide Copper Project expansion
definitive feasibility study (DFS) announced on 25 March
2008, infill and definition drilling is being carried out on the
Bluff, Azurite and Redbank deposits. This will enable
detailed pit planning and mine scheduling to be completed.
Preliminary results for the Azurite Deposit are reported
here. Further preliminary results from Redbank and Bluff
will be reported as program progresses.
A total of 10 shallow drill holes were drilled for a total of
311m at Azurite. Preliminary assaying of the holes has
been completed using field portable XRF. Quality
assurance and quality control routines demonstrate that
these results are satisfactorily consistent and reproducible
and typically within 15% of conventional laboratory assays.
These results are reported as interim results (refer Table
1) and should be regarded as indicative pending reporting
of final laboratory assays expected in 4 to 6 weeks.
Highlights from the drilling to date at Azurite:

length grade
Cu
from
AZ08 19 14 m 1.48% 5 m
AZ08 20 4 m 1.25% 16 m
AZ08 21 17 m 1.33% 7 m
AZ08 22 12 m 1.74% 4 m
AZ08 24 8 m 2.08% 4 m
AZ08 25 10 m 1.31% 1 m
AZ08 28 5 m 5.55% from 9m, including
2m at 11.53%
The drilling was carried out in a close spaced pattern over
the centre of the mineralisation defined by previous drilling.
The results are consistent with a shallow ore body
developed by oxide dispersion from a series of small
fissures (see figure 1). The spectacular intercept in AZ08-
28 of 5m@ 5.5% Cu containing 2m@ 11.53% represents
one of these small fissures and the focus of the high grade
‘ore picking’ in the historical production period.

Grades are consistent or slightly higher than the average previously calculated for the inferred
resource at Azurite. Located only 1.5km from the Redbank Plant the Azurite oxide
mineralisation should provide an easily accessible ore source for the proposed expansion of the
oxide leach operations.
The Redbank deposit is presently being drilled with preliminary results expected within two
weeks.
Yours faithfully,
