yeah i agree with the reasoning bbq, i've also stated recently i trade in and out of TAM if i see an opportunity, same with all my stocks, silly if i didn't.
but that is the problem see, i too see TAM as an investement vehicle a money making device. thats what a share is imo. but the emotional attachment in my opinion can also be of a negative nature, to steal your analogy its like when you break up with your girl but you keep spying on her and spreading wispers because you don't want her to be enjoying things more than you are... and you definately don't want others too have what you can't ;)
