"Disclosing everything he had to" is not the issue here. Providing contradictory information is, and current & potential shareholders ability to understand how much forecast revenue/income the company may generate in the near/medium future is paramount in valuing the market cap and thereafter the share price.
Being positive about the company because you've invested lots is nice, but that's no better than crossing your fingers and simply hoping for the best. And sadly that hasn't worked out for the vast majority of CTP investors to date...
