gary if I remember correctly this type of qn came up a while back for a similar situation. I dont believe that insurance claims will have a drastic effect on the SP as you will probably find that premiums paid annually across the country are hugely disproportionate to claims made every so often.
you might also want to check where most of AMP's revenue hails from before determining if the insurance will be so detrimental. I believe you will find they lean heavily toward superannuation and all fees and investment returns generated there.
IMO, sp STILL undervalued all the way to $10 at least..
