E-commerce in China has been developing very quick for the last 5 -10 years . Now it has become a new engine to support GDP growth.
The introduction of new e-commerce law just confirm that Chinese government will strengthen their control and play a key role in this new area from now on.
Chinese e-commerce was dominated by 2 companies - Taobao(Tmall) and JD.com. Both of them are private sector companies not state own companies.
Now Jack Ma (founder of TaoBao) will announce his retirement on Monday .
Liu qiangdong (founder of JD.com) was involved in a rape case in USA .
I smell something very fishy . Those Chinese billionaire have been targeted by the government. As for thousands of diagou in Australia and NZ , they are just too little , too small , the Chinese government couldn’t care less.
