OPES PRIME
The Directors of Batavia Mining Limited disclose the following information based on
enquiries made by the company in regards to Opes Prime and also relevant
correspondence received on 3 April 2008. It is understood that as a result of the
appointment of receivers to Opes Prime, third parties may have the rights to dispose
of 7,678,676 shares in Batavia Mining Ltd (BTV) representing 6.3% of the company’s
issued capital.
Judging by the level of unusual trades the Directors believe that some or all of the
above holding may have been sold on market. This has not been verified at this
point.
The Company is not in receipt now nor has it ever received substantial shareholding
notices in relation to this holding.
The company confirms that no directors hold shares in BTV through an account with
Opes Prime.
