I dont know if anyone saw the report from the IMF on property prices in Australia. They said that 25% of the increase in the price of property over the past 10 years cannot be attributed to fundamental factors such as population growth and wages.
Well, theres your first 25% of the correction there. Plus it is a hell of a lot harder or will be soon to get credit. Once it starts going it will continue to snow ball. Dont know about 40%, but obviously different areas will fall different amounts. I would not discount 40% in some areas though.
Then you hear contrarian reports from the Australian Property Managers and BIS Shrapnel that rents will increase 50% in the next 5 years. What are the fundamental reasons for that?? Wage Increases? haha laughable all of the BS these companies are sprouting!
