There is no official parliamentary enquiry. In July the new minister in charge of DOE and AELB indicated there would be a review of Lynas operations and that Wong Tack and Fuziah Salleh, two of Lynas biggest critics and instigators of mass protests against Lynas, would be leading the review. That's all at this stage.
There was an SBS report recently that quoted Wong Tack as saying there would be a parliamentary enquiry and executive branch enquiry in the very near future. Considering the title of the article I would question the accuracy of the report and timeframe of Wong Tacks comments. The report was published after his first ever visit to the LAMP where he was educated about Lynas residue management plan and witnessed first hand the DOE spot check testing methods and results.
