Redflow battery has a inherent characteristics of slow discharge it not a fault just a characteristic. So if you want to say start a large compressor you need a bump of power to get it started. Unless you have sufficient power and inverter essentially oversized you need NI for a quick discharge. Redflow battery will run it forever at normal draws. This doesn't apply if you can afford to over size you system. In a stand online system you would need a lest 2 zbm2 or 1 zbm2 and a NI to cover the maintenance cycle . I am not connected to grid and rely totally on batteries.

Thanks Noddy. We can stagger household use such that no large (high total kwh usage), so I think I will stick with the 2 Redflows.
