Trying guess the ipo value and time is one huge step further than trying to gauge revenue.
At least with revenue we can look at target markets, customers etc, and get a very rough idea
However, with trying to get a SP, there is a major X factor ie. what is the market willing to pay over forecast earning (P/E).
Predicting human sentiment is nigh on impossible. I am guessing that this is why some of the long term holders look at the long term SP (eg 5 years), where a P/E of 30 can be assumed to be more accurate.
