Cracks in the upper crust

PORTFOLIO POINT: Property price downturns are spreading from the mortgage belt to the top end of the markets.
Cracks are beginning to appear in the upper end of the property market, with places such as Sydney’s popular eastern suburbs experiencing a fall in house values of 0.9% over the past six months, resulting in a new median house price of 1.7 million, according to RP Data’s Property Pulse released today.
