Remember that to rely on compulsory acquisition rules a bidder must get both 90% of the trust AND 75% acceptances under a bid of the units they didn't already own. So that's pretty hard to do... and even harder if there was a dilutive raise.
No doubt there would be a cost advantage in owning 100%... but probably not much of an advantage in owning more but less than 100%. So I'm not sure it's practical.
