The suggestion that HFR make "charitable donations" or a "facilitation fee" to the relevant authority was made from the floor at an earlier agm...to their credit, the bod strenuously put down the suggestion not just on the grounds that that would be a breach of not just Spanish law but also Oz law but also on the grounds that to do so would be a breach of HFR's high socially responsible code of ethics...again to their credit, the way the bod pragmatically approaches the winning over of local stakeholders is to conduct open-to-all town hall meetings at which donations are openly made to the local mayor in front of the gathered citizenry for the purpose of community projects...incidently among which is a promise backed by HFR cash to help the locals establish a white asparagus farm! on the hfr tenement where farming wont disprupt mining....say what you like about perceived management shortcomings but be proud that you are an investor in a company that is in the rarified strata of ethically pure dealings...you may not make a quid (although my view is that you will in fact make a nice quid) but at least you will never have to be embarrassed by banking- type royal commission.
