OK if it's just a spare beach house, pity if it's the family home that gets the co-lateral damage of greed.

Desperate people do desperate things sometimes. Some people are desperate, taking some gambles they probably shouldn't to get ahead. Heard of their mates getting ahead in real estate, shares, they hop in too late, when the shenanigans are hatching..... and they are getting chewed up and spat out.

Let's see, sub-prime debt to Norway Village Retirement funds and local Oz councils, Kansas School...... now nest eggs devoured by rats, interest rates pushed up and people battling to pay the mortgage have to decide whether to buy any real meat that week or send their kids to the doctors.

I'm OK, don't have too much super though, own my own house, have children to raise, am frustrated that my cognitive capacity is not valued, contemplating an exodus to elsewhere as many of my smart science colleagues did years ago. They don't value my type too well, not many jobs, but we could help save the world with real solutions, maybe even save your child one day. Seems that lots are being persuaded to invest in things that make big holes in the ground, don't add value, but line the pockets of snake-oil salesmen.
