Just to give a different point of view. I don't use Afterpay, I have plenty of money and savings and will make most purchases outright. However, every user will have different appetite to use the app. For example, I have the ability to go into Harvey Norman and buy a $4,000 TV with my savings. However, for no extra cost I could (if HN were to adopt AP) smooth my consumption by having $1000 come out every fortnight which coincides with my paycheck. I'm a male analyst in a bank so I wouldn't fit your description of afterpay users, but I do see value in it. Since you talk to fashion stores, your "study" is quite bias. Just my 2 cents.
