re: announcment - out of curiosity Perhaps COE should offer a scrip merger with another small oil and gas producer or explorer in order to try to push santos hand. A scrip offer would remove any cash and would simply issue new stock in the combined entity to all existing shareholders - this might also reduce santos holding in the combined entity ?
