re: Back to Ebet: THE TRUTH! It is fine to see Aristocrat has won a couple of minor casino contracts in Vegas among a few low profile outlets.
However this has nothing to do with what EBET does.
The contracts in Vegas are utterly unrelated to EBET products. It is common knowledge that EBET has no interest in the Vegas casino administrative software in the same way it has no interest or product that has sought a market at Jupiter's, Crown, Treasury, Hobart, West Australia or any other Australian venue.
EBET caters for the community based Indian casinos with an emphasis on the West Coast of the USA.
What is the difference?
The Vegas product is a product aimed at supervisory oversight of casino operations including food, beverages etc. The machines in Vegas are not 'cashless' in any sense of the word as related to EBET. The Vegas product is part of what they call cashless with machines that are 'ticket spitters' that instead of paying cash give a ticket to the investor. The most sophisticated forms of ticket spitters are being aimed at being pushed into other slots but they are of little economic or practical advantage.
Every casino in the world has a software system of one form or another monitoring their machines and their administration. The problem of these ticket spitters are that they save very little money for the house. If you know Vegas (and I do and have visited several times) you will know that getting paid for machine payouts involves a lot of mucking around.
The ticket spitter still requires as a substitute for cash is a poor second. Why? Well firstly you still need staff to fill the tickets which have to be manufactured and monitored and you still need even more staff to verify and cash them in.
The EBET market is the community based gaming machine facilities which are attended by local communities. They are akin to our licensed clubs. The regularity of attendees lends itself to issuing them with a membership style card they can play machines with and top up with cash.
THIS IS NOT SUITED to casino venues nor is it economic where the players are more than 95% tourists or short term visitors.
There is no relationship whatsoever with what EBET does and what Aristocrat is doing in Las Vegas.
To add to this it should be noted that Aristocrat does not have cashless gaming or anything like it in Australia and EBET is the dominant producer in this area. It is HIGHLY ILLEGAL AND PROHIBITED by gaming controllers in this country to allow a cashless gaming card to be used other than for gaming on pokies.
Aristocrat paid a fortune to get into the Casino software business in the USA and good luck to them. Their products are not in the same arena as the EBET products and that's that!
