Investmentidiot your just talking about a cycle in house prices they are cyclic in nature and form a pattern, of course house price at a high level are unsubstainable. And will recede 20% from high levels but when wages catch up it will push them up again, house are usually in a 7 year cycle but never drop back to former levels. With such an in built desire for people to have their great Australian dream their own house perpetuates a higher princing level.
