Oh I thought your good engineering and mets peers/network already gave you this very basic analogy. And I thought you already figure it out some parts of it when you post a blurb on "liberation size and recovery". The greatest advantage of AJM against its peers and why 82% if not 85+% recovery is real:

1. AJM have a dedicated Mica / impurity removal circuit and the mica in AJM's ore is not associated heavily with the lithium bearing minerals. Compare this to Mt. Catlin (GXY) deposit, which clearly missed to realize the geometallurgy of the deposit and did not install mica / impurity pre-cleaning stage during start-up. No wonder they hovered 50-66% on their initial start-up, then afterwards upgraded the plant to install a reflux classifier to remove mica. Recovery improved to 75% afterwards. Oh, PLS drawings also does not incorporate any impurity recovery circuit.

2. The liberation size of AJM deposit proves to be in the coarse range (read DFS), hence the higher probability of bulk coarse recovery in the DMS plant and not over the fines circuit. Well, have you asked your friends how easy or hard it is to fine grind mica-related minerals (phyllosilicates)? I'll spoil it again, they're bastard to grind as it is naturally occurring as flat-thin sheets.
