Taipan..........in my view that's soft criticism. Quoting fixed price without first determining ground conditions was an epic failure and completely avoidable. Contractors rarely divulge reasons for such disasters although I am sure lessons were learned.

A class action is unlikely if only because the events in question were over a brief period during which ASX turnover was too low to interest lawyers. The size of the SP fall is a problem however.

There appears to have been some insider trading 7-8 days before the suspension with substantial volume and price fall. I am not suggesting this was the illegal sort.
