The dividend goes ex tomorrow. So today is the last day for an investor to buy in to qualify for the dividend. I am long but find it hard to believe it will go from .375 to to .42 today given the price action. The buyers have stepped up but then again so have the sellers so has been a bit of a grinding move higher. I am expecting given the potential yield on offer going forward that on the ex date the price doesn't drop the full 5 cents or at least recovers in the following days. Also entry into the index may provide some additional buying demand to recover the usual drop in the share price post ex div.
