I'm pretty sure that report is nothing to do with BRN unfortunately, although they were doing trials re Baccarat. Casinos use security cameras extensively as standard and BRN's system was intended to pick up dealer errors and would presumably not have picked up cheating involving showing part of the deck to accomplices even if it had got as far as Maryland (and I assume we would have been told if it had).
It's not totally clear if any of those original trials are actually still ongoing, or whether the new system with GPI is now the exclusive casino play. The lack of news on the former tends to suggest the latter is the case though .
